In the experiment, the scientists found that the apparent cohesion of dense sand in the cell can be increased by more than thirty times due to the confining effect of HDPE driveway geocell.
Due to the friction with the interfacial filling material and itself limiting effect, the HDPE driveway geocell will pass the reaction force between the geocell and the geocell to make the reinforced pavement more stable and not easy to shift and collapse. So it's often used to reinforce or repair pavements.
